​​​​TEACH Video Monitoring

Section 16.997, Wis. Stats., authorizes Technology for Educational Achievement (TEACH) to provide educational agencies access to data lines and video links through its educational telecommunications access program. The Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) is committed to providing effective oversight and monitoring of video link equipment to ensure the purpose and intent identified in Section 16.997, Wis. Stats. DET plans to accomplish this commitment by:

  • Ensuring appropriate use of state funds

  • Verifying funds are used for the terms specified in agreements

  • Provide technical assistance

TEACH Infrastructure Grant Monitoring

In the ​​​fiscal year 2016 (FY16), 2015 WI Act 55 of the Wisconsin State Legislature established Technology for Educational Achievement (TEACH) Information Technology Infrastructure Grants which are administered by the Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Enterprise Technology (DET). DET commits to providing effective oversight and monitoring for the Infrastructure Grants to ensure the purpose and intent of the grants identified in 16.9945 (1), Wis. Stats., are met. DET plans to accomplish this commitment by:

  • Ensuring appropriate use of state funds

  • Documenting grant expenditures

  • Verifying funds are used for the terms specified in grant agreements

TEACH Technology Training Grant Monitoring

The Technology for Educational Achievement (TEACH) Technology Training Grants are available to consortia of three or more eligible rural school districts or libraries for the purpose of training teachers and librarians on the use of educational technology. Beginning in the fiscal year 2016, $1.5 million will be available annually for the TEACH Technology Training Grants (Ch. 16.996, Wis. Stats.). 

TEACH is responsible for monitoring the expenditures of state grant recipients to ensure state funds are used for approved purposes in compliance with state statutes, regulations, and the terms and conditions of state awards.

The goal of grant monitoring is to provide oversight of the TEACH Educational Technology Grant Program and produce accurate data on grants performance throughout the life of the grant. Specific objectives include:

  • Ensuring appropriate use of state funds

  • Provide technical assistance

  • Verifying funds are used for the terms specified in grant agreements
