Information Technology Infrastructure Grants provide technology infrastructure to improve the capacity of rural school districts to utilize technology for student instruction. Only eligible, individual, rural school districts may apply. $7,500,000 is available for State Fiscal Year 16 & 17 (July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2017). These are not additional funds to the TEACH program. They are a reallocation of existing funds within TEACH.
Infrastructure grants are competitive based upon school districts with the greatest free or reduced-price lunch percentage. Funding for Information Technology Infrastructure Grants is contingent upon available TEACH funds.
