Infrastructure Grants - FY 2017
In Wisconsin State Fiscal Year 17 (July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017) the Wisconsin Department of Administration awarded approximately $5.0M in TEACH Information Technology Infrastructure Grants in two rounds of funding - Round 1 and Round 2.
Eligibility Requirements:
2017 TEACH Information Technology Infrastructure Grants are available to rural school districts who have 13 or fewer students per square mile (see Eligible Districts list below). A district's maximum award amount is calculated as follows:
- If the membership of the eligible school district is fewer than 750 pupils, $30,000.
- If the membership of the eligible school district is 750 pupils to 1,500 pupils, $40 multiplied by the school district's membership.
- If the membership of the eligible school district is more than 1,500 pupils, $60,000.
Application Requirements:
Per 16.994 (1), Wis. Stats., applications for the TEACH Information Technology Infrastructure Grants must include the following: description of specific infrastructure to be purchased; district's plan to purchase, install and use the purchased infrastructure; and district's readiness (see readiness rubric below) to use purchased infrastructure.

STATE IDs/AUDITS:
Although the grant program will be listed in the Department of Administration's Annual Inventory of State Funded Grants/Programs, it will not be assigned a State ID since it will not be included in the scope of a single audit.
